It used to be that when people talked about types of fitness training, they were referring to just a few exercise options – running, tennis, or maybe a quick swim. Today, the types of fitness training available to you are limited only by your imagination.
Types of fitness training programs are so numerous and various that you can easily get lost among them, and not know which one(s) to choose for you and/or you your family. Let’s name just a few most popular of them: aerobics, muscle building, strength training, agility training, cardiovascular workouts, endurance training, etc. It will take pages to list all types of programs and particular exercises that are included into them. Yoga and Pilates also belong to this list.
Types of fitness training programs can also be distinguished according to age, sex, physical conditions, treatments necessity and personal preferences. And it’s really important to take into account all these points because there are some programs that you could be too young or even too old to start following. There are also those that could be useless for you, so you shouldn’t even waste your time on them.
A good and balanced health plan can contain exercises from different types and groups. Such combinations help achieve higher goals in shorter periods of time.
